My Background

Welcome! My name is Viviana Doyle, and I’m an experienced therapeutic counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges.  I am registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its ethical framework

My journey to becoming a counsellor was inspired by a deep belief in the power of hope and the transformative impact of having a compassionate, supportive space to explore one’s experiences. I’ve always been fascinated by the resilience of the human spirit and how, with the right support, people can discover new possibilities, overcome obstacles, and move towards a brighter future. This is why I became a counsellor—because I want to help others find the clarity and empowerment they need to create meaningful change in their lives.

My diverse cultural and professional background enables me to bring a broad perspective to my practice, which helps me recognise, understand and respect the unique complexities each client faces.  My experiences in this area also foster empathy and cultural sensitivity, thus ensuring I provide an inclusive space for clients to explore their concerns.

Continuing to develop professionally is hugely important to me and I have completed additional training covering working with suicidal clients, working with trauma, and advanced techniques in counselling assessments.

If you feel that counselling would be helpful, please reach out. Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels right for you.

I’m here to support you, whether you’re looking for short-term relief or deeper, long-term change.

My Approach

I approach our work together with gentle curiosity and kindness, creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel seen, heard, understood, and empowered.

Each session is tailored to your individual needs and guided by what you find most valuable and helpful to explore. At times we may focus on the present moment and delve into your 'here and now' experience; this can provide a deeper understanding, reveal behavioural or relational patterns that may be holding you back, and open up new possibilities and choices.

Our therapeutic work will be grounded within a humanistic, integrative approach. This means that I use a range of techniques from Person Centred Therapy and Gestalt to help you explore issues, and empower you to discover solutions to the challenges that you wish to work through.

Clay Therapy

Clay therapy is a creative and expressive therapeutic approach that uses the hands-on process of working with clay to support emotional healing.

By engaging in the tactile experience of shaping and moulding the clay, clients can explore and express emotions that may be difficult to verbalise.  It offers an opportunity to deeply connect with your inner-world, promote mindfulness, and process complex emotions in a safe and supportive environment.  The act of working with clay can be grounding, calming, and deeply therapeutic, allowing clients to work through emotional blockages and gain insight into their experiences.

Clay therapy can benefit clients by providing an alternative way to communicate and process emotions, particularly for those who may find it challenging to express themselves through words alone.
